Without a doubt, polar bears are common in Svalbard. Even though it is unlikely and even dangerous to encounter a wild polar bear, stuffed polar bears are on display throughout Longyearbyen.
Right in the beginning, you are greeted by a polar bear at the luggage belt in the airport.
In most hotels, you can probably find a stuffed polar bear. This one is in Radisson Blu.
