Manchester – Regeneration of the inner city

Since the post box bombing in 1996, Manchester has revived herself and made a remarkable recovery. Buildings were rebuilt and in the process injected a lease of new life into the city centre. We spent the greater part of the day strolling around the city and exploring the many shops. In the late afternoon, we ventured into the large Museum of Science and Industry which houses an amazing collection of locomotives. If you have time, I would certainly recommend visiting this place.

Since we only had a full day in Manchester, we barely scratched its surface. Manchester is on our “visit again” list. Enjoy the photos below.
