Not knowing where the fireworks will be, it was a frantic scramble to get a shot once the fireworks were set off.
We took the cable car up the hill opposite Tromso island. Apparently, it is a popular way to celebrate New Year’s Day as up the hill you get a panoramic view of Tromso. The locals set off their own fireworks throughout the night and the authorities set off theirs from the hill. This photo was taken on top of the hill not far from where the fireworks were set off.
