In December, Globe Nomads finally got off our butts in London to travel to other countries. Unfortunately, our plans were altered by the weather, or possibly negligence by the staff of Heathrow Airport? Anyway, we were due to fly out on the 20th December but on arrival at the airport all flights were cancelled saved a couple. It was a bit of a mess as we did not receive any notification from British Airways that the flight was cancelled and it seems like technology wasn’t a great help. All we could do was to wait and wait.
The next morning, we managed to rebook our flights, flying to Oslo on the 24th. Much to our dismay, we didn’t managed to catch our train to Bergen on the 23rd. I bought the same journey again on the 25th. I contacted NSB (Norway’s state railways) hoping for a refund in view of the circumstances but they refused to refund since I had bought the cheapest fares. Bummer!
