While we journeyed North into the Artic Circle in Norway, we sat in one of the older train wagons from NSB (Norway’s state railways). This is the only wagon in the entire train which is old style with slightly wider seats which are also supposed to recline more. There is wood panelling throughout the wagon, giving off a classy feel. Other passengers were also enthusiastically flashing their cameras. I think I was quite lucky considering I only paid 199 NOK for the entire journey from Bergen to Bodo. On the negative side, I discovered that no matter how much the seats recline, as long as they are not lie-flat, my back will still be aching throughout the journey.
