This unusual Georgian building, or rather collection of buildings has a curved facade looking out to a park. The scenery would give the occupants a sense of the countryside while living in the city. This kind of idealogy was becoming fashionable at those times. Buyers would purchase a length of the facade and then built their own houses. This practice often gives rise to very different fronts and backs. Today the Royal Crescent is one of the most prominent landmarks in Bath.

I didn’t know that they bought a length of the facade, what a crazy way of buying a house..!
