I have been to Simthsonian National Museum of Natural History at DC but I think this Natural History Museum is a notch better. From dinosaurs to deep sea creatures to the largest mammals, this place has it all. If you want to fully explore this place, you have to devote your whole day here. During good weather, this museum is packed with visitors and it can get stuffy at times. If you like to see the colossal squid specimem, please do remember to book the free guided Spirit Collection Tour. You can only book this tour on the day itself and there are very few places. Call 0207 942 5011 after 1015 am to book. Unless you are arriving at the museum right after it opens, it is most advisable to call ahead.

Globe Nomads review ratings: 4/5
This museum has very interesting exhibitis and the staff tries to make them educational as well. A great day out for an entire family.

    Hi Laura,

Thanks for visiting. Yes, usually the Natural History Museum is very packed and I would not recommend visiting this place in summer. The Darwin Centre was pretty quiet though, a good refuge from the maddening crowd in the rest of the museum.

    Cheers,
    Leng
