28th May 2010 – Day 5 of roadtrip

Bowness-on-Windermere is an idyllic and touristy lakeside resort. I would recommend visiting this town as there is nothing more charming than sitting on the pier and soaking in the warm sunshine. To make the moment better, tuck into some fish and chips with a can of beer!

Not knowing what to expect, we stopped by this town since most of the attractions closed at 5pm but the sun is still up and it was not going to set until at least 9pm. There is also a Beatrix Potter attraction in this town. We settled dinner by having fish and chips at the pier while soaking in the atmosphere. Even though there are tourists everywhere, Bowness-on-Windermere retains its charm.
