28th March 2010

Since its spring, we revisited Osterley Park. They have reopened all the rooms since our last visit in spring and this time round we managed to see the gardens. Most of the gardens are in a wild state, probably because its huge and its hard to maintain anything in United Kingdom without some kind of monetary incentive. The original garden actually has a stream and a place for a boat to dock. If you are one of those rich guests and you are tired of walking back, one of the servants could row you back in a boat. Probably that was before the 20th century. Of course the stream has become murky now with nobody cleaning and using it. After visiting the house and the gardens, we walked around the park since the weather is getting better.

Admission: adult £8, child £4, family £20

This is one of the more interesting rooms. Called the “tapestry room”. Tapestries adorned its 4 walls and the ceiling.
This is a EIGHT poster bed.
Seems to be some kind of bird or squirrel feed.
Scary feet! From far they looked like skeleton prints.
Colorful right?
