Today we find ourselves in London before meeting up with a friend of my wife’s. We left home pretty early in order to find somewhere to park but we were still caught in some pretty congested roads. We managed to check out Apsley House and Wellington Arch. Too bad photos aren’t allowed in Apsley House but I did take a photo of the most impressive Aegis (shield) that was presented to the Duke of Wellington after his victory over Napoleon. Apsley House is the home of the Duke of Wellington and Wellington Arch was built to celebrate his victory over Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
