On the fifth day, we set off to Asakusa which is a usual tourist stop. However it has it’s fair share of interesting things and decent Japanese snacks. We had MOS burgers for lunch and it was really excellent for a burger joint. The portions are small but you could always eat more than 1 couldn’t you?
In the evening we went to Ueno Park hoping to catch a glimpse of the cherry blossoms and this time round we were really fortunate. The flowers were just starting to bloom but the place was already packed with people. The Japanese were really into recycling judging from the recycling sacks they had. In the evening, we had some French dishes in the hotel’s restaurant since we were entitled to 50% off using our Accor membership. However, I did find the taste a bit strange.
The next morning, we did a quick visit to the Meiji Palace and after that we did a last round of shopping before heading back to Singapore.
