Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed, follow me on Twitter or like me on Facebook for the latest updates.

We decided to pay a visit to the huge Buddha at Ngong Ping. On the way we also checked out the Citygate factory outlets at Tung Chung. The outlets were nice and modern but they are not really as cheap as those which you can find in the States. In the end, we didn’t get anything since we could probably buy similar stuff back in Singapore.

Guess what? There is a Food Republic there, but of course the food is different from what you can find in Singapore. Prices are slightly higher but the portions are bigger. After lunch, we took the cable car up to Ngong Ping. It was hell of a ride. The cable car swayed with the strong winds and it was really foggy. If you want to stay safe, you could hike up but I am not sure how long it takes. Check out the photo below. The cable car ride took about 20 minutes though. It was a long ride.

In the evening we met up with my wife’s ex-colleague, Mandy. She brought us to this restaurant and ordered us a really sumptuous spread of exotic seafood. We started off with a bowl of roast duck hor fun each which I have to say was really good. Then the seafood came. Each of us had a fresh abalone. It was huge. She also ordered an exotic kind of prawn which I had never seen before. It kind of looked prehistoric. Next were the bamboo clams which were so soft and tender. There were also other smaller dishes such as vegetables, clams, jellyfish and pig intestines. Check out the spread in the photo below. Are you feeling hungry now?
